Does your child love the out of doors? Do you have a budding actor in your house? Here is your chance for your child to play outside at the Mountaineer's Kitsap Forest Theater Rhododendron Preserve, and learn the skills of acting, singing, dancing, and stage combat from theater professionals. It is a chance to experience the grandeur of the out of doors, make new friends, and work as a team and gain self-confidence. Camp designed for 9-15 year olds.
Location: Kitsap Forest Theater, 3000 Seabeck Hwy, Bremerton. The 320 acre Rhododendron Reserve with an old growth forest contains the historic outdoor theater and rustic facilities. See www.foresttheater.com.
Mission Statement:
Kitsap Forest Theater Youth Summer Program provides a supportive, safe, nurturing environment to engage the imagination for youth ages 9-15; develop theatrical skills, encourage dedicated focus towards a discipline, increase self-confidence, develop cooperative skills, instill respect for others, and build an appreciation for the great out of doors.
Level 2 (Week 2)– August 3rd-7th 9:00-4:00 Monday thru Friday
with a focus on Elements of Shakespeare
Free final presentation each Friday
BONUS STAGE CRAFT PROGRAM:****
Offered daily 4:00-5:30 includes theatrical stage makeup and mask construction.
A fee of $10 per day per child for stage craft program in addition to weekly tuition.
